Cougar Awakening Read online

Mike was consumed by her assault. He couldn’t control where she was, or what she did. He saw her smile and realized that was exactly what she wanted. Jana needs to be in charge here just like the office. Hell if I care, I can live with it.

Jana felt the orgasm take hold at the same time she felt Mike’s release. She shuddered and collapsed. Both spent, they rolled to their sides, holding each other close sharing the intimacy of the moment. They cuddled like young lovers, closing their eyes and easing into sleep.

The morning sun peeking through the blinds made her squint. Mike slowly woke, feeling her secure in his arms. He wasn’t ready to release her; and to bring her even closer, as Jana snuggled into his warmth.

She was shocked, yet pleasantly surprised that they had slept through the night in each other’s arms. It had been a long time since she’d spent the night with a man.

Mike massaged her back and slowly moved his hand around to caress her breast. When he brought his mouth down on hers, she yielded, the kiss consuming them. He eased her back lying between her legs with his engorged penis head pressing firmly against her swollen, moist slit.

She shifted slightly to allow him better access while keeping the contact with his body; moving her head to welcome the much desired kiss.

Mike kissed her slowly, his tongue slipping effortlessly past her lips and teeth, teasing her tongue. He used his knee to separate her legs, thrusting forward, his penis entering her.

She felt his cock jerking and shooting hot jism deep into her and they both exploded into orgasm.

They relaxed, breathing hard, but completely satisfied. They held each other closer in the afterglow.

She scratched her head, a good orgasm always made her head itch. “As much as I’m enjoying this, I need to get up and get to work. I know that isn’t what you want to hear, but I’ve several meetings I need to get ready for.” Jana leaned over, kissed him again, and sashayed to the bathroom in nothing but her garter belt and stockings, accenting her hip movements with a bit of a cat walk strut.

Her tease did exactly what she intended, he was hard as a rock and in obvious discomfort as he followed her to the bathroom. He walked in, saw her garter belt on the sink, and lovingly fingered the garment as he opened the shower door to join her.

Jana dropped the soap. “What are you doing?”

  “Taking a shower.”

  “Really?”

“Well I was hoping you wouldn’t mind taking care of a little problem I’m having.” He dropped his head to his chest.

Jana followed Mike’s eyes down and noticed his erection. Oh youth, you have to love them and their stamina. “I think I can help you with your problem, but we’ve got to hurry.” Her eyes narrowed, “Do you know what hurry means?”

“Oh, I think so.” He pressed her into the marble wall of the shower, lifting her and easing both legs around his waist so she could lock them at the ankle. He didn’t hesitate, but entered her once again, beginning to move slowly, kissing her as he repeatedly penetrated her.

Mike’s lips on hers sent shivers up and down her spine as he continued to plunge into her. He made love to every part of her: her mouth, nipping on the edges, using his tongue to molest her, his beautiful hands massaging her breasts, and running her nipples between his thumb and finger. His attacks on her body meshed into sheer ecstasy; and Jana cried out as she climaxed once again.

Driving to the office Jana began to appreciate what a ‘Cougar’ was. Now that she had the definition well in hand, enjoying the freedom and power of being a Cougar was the next step. She felt sure she could do that, if last night and this morning were any indication of the satisfaction that could be realized. Yes, she knew Mike would be leaving in little more than a week, but in that time she also knew they would share as much time as they could together. Jana didn’t want a husband or a boyfriend, been there, done that. She wanted only an intimate friend. Okay, someone for sex.

As she walked into the office she smiled at Charlie. “The Cougar is alive and well.”

“Give, Jana.” He jerked his head around and spilt his coffee.

“No, I am not going to discuss my private life with you. I do, however, want to thank you for the ‘Cougar’ insight. I think it’s something that will work well for me.” She laughed as she entered her office and closed the door.

Barely seated at her desk, Jana’s intercom buzzed. I’m not telling him anything. “Charlie I’m not talking!”

“I’m not asking, but you have a call on line two, do you want me to take a message?”

“No, I’ll take it. Who is it?”

  “Craig.”

“Shit, okay I’ll take it.” She closed her eyes and took a deep breath to compose herself. “Craig, it’s good to hear from you, but I didn’t think you cared for mornings?”

“You’re right I don’t, but I’ve a concern we need to talk about.”

“Okay... And what would that be?”

“I saw you leave the dinner last night with that young man.”

“Yes, I did. We drove over together and he gave me a lift home. Craig, his name is Mike.”

There was a moment of silence and Craig came back on the line, his voice louder. “I know his name, Jana! His name is not the problem here.”

“What exactly is the problem? Or your problem?”

“Do you realize the gossip that has already begun through your company and mine?”

She drummed her nails on her desk. “Actually, no, but I can guess.”

“And you are not worried about our reputations?”

“OUR reputation?” What is he talking about? “Craig, let me put this as plain as I can. You can call me and talk about any interaction we have between our companies. You can call me and talk about a potential investment I might want to consider. You can call and talk to me about our daughter. But you are not allowed to call me and discuss my personal life. It is none of your business. You gave up that right two years ago, or did you forget?”

“Jana, I don’t mean to put you on the defensive. I’m only concerned with you and your reputation.”

“Yea, right, you are only concerned with an image you think I should maintain. Well, guess what? This is the 21st Century and women have had the right to vote, smoke and have sex at their discretion, and have had for years.”

  “But, Jana?”

“Don’t but me Craig! This conversation is over; I have a lot of work to do.” Jana slammed down the phone. He has his nerve calling me. I owe him nothing, absolutely nothing. Too bad he never thought about me in our previous relationship because maybe we would still have one. Shit! Jana reached for the intercom and buzzed Charlie. “Charlie, I’m not taking any more calls from Craig today!”

“Yes ma’am!” I wonder what he did or said. I bet it had to do with Mike. Line one rang and he answered it.

“Charlie, the phone cut out, I wasn’t done speaking with Jana.” Craig spoke as emphatically as he could without screaming.

“Jana is not available to take your call at this time, can I take a message?”

“Charlie, I was just on the phone with her and we weren’t done.”

Charlie took a deep breath and mentally counted to five. “Jana is not available to take your call at this time, can I take a message?”

“This isn’t funny. I need to speak with her. She’s making a big mistake here and I need to stop her.”

  “Craig?”

  “Yes?”

“Did you hear a dial tone?”

  “Yes?”

“Jana is no longer available to take your calls today, can I take a message?” Charlie tried to be nice, but Craig wasn’t getting the message.

As Charlie’s unsaid meaning finally reached him, Craig mumbled, “No, no, I’ll try to call her later tonight, or maybe even tomorrow. Thanks Charlie.”

Charlie hung up the phone. The office grapevine probably had Jana and Mike planning a church wedding. He would take bets that marriage was not in Jana
’s plans. Cougar indeed, she was definitely in charge and now even Craig knows it.

His intercom buzzed again, “Charlie, I want you to set up dinner at the Bonefish Grill tonight, reservations for Mike and me for seven? Then please call Mike and let him know. Also tell him my car will pick him up, that way we can have drinks with dinner. Let me know if he has any problems, or if the time doesn’t work for him. Okay?”

“Sure, I’ll take care of it.” Charlie dialed Mike’s number.

“Accounting, Mike can I help you?”

“Mike, this is Charlie, Jana asked me to call and see if you were available to meet her for dinner tonight at seven.”

“Sure, I don’t see that as a problem. I have some things I need to take care of, but seven should work fine. I can leave from here.”

“Why don’t you come up to Jana’s office about 6:30 and you can go over with her in the company car?”

“That won’t be necessary, I can drive myself. By the way where are we going?”

Charlie laughed, “To the Bonefish Grill, Jana loves the Pomegranate martinis they have there, as well as the food of course. She said you two would take a company car so you could have drinks with dinner, and not worry about driving afterwards.”

“Okay, I guess I’m fine with that. I’ve got a fresh shirt and tie here so I can get cleaned up; I will need to shave. Damn I said that out loud didn’t I?”

“Yes, you did. I’ll let her know you are available and that you’ll be presentable.”

  “Don’t do that please. I didn’t realize…”

“Mike, don’t be nervous. She wants to see you and get to know you better.”

“Charlie, you do know that I’m leaving the company at the end of next week, right?”

“Yes, I know and I’m sure she does too.”

Mike hesitated, “Can I ask you a question?”

“Sure, and if I can I’ll answer it.”

“Why does she want to see me? I mean I’m 20 years younger than she is and I’m leaving in a week.”

“Mike, I’m going to be honest with you. Jana’s job has a lot of pressure. She very seldom lets her hair down and just enjoys the moment. Everything she’s done over the past two years has been for this company, which is not a bad thing, but she needs down time. The time with you, I imagine, gives her that. Just enjoy your time together. Okay.”

“Yea, thanks, good bye.” Mike hung up the phone, leaned back in his chair and smiled.

Charlie buzzed Jana. “Everything is on for tonight. Mike had some work to complete so he will meet you in your office at 6:30 and you two can leave from here. Does that work?”

“Yes, that’s great. Thanks Charlie.” She picked up the file Mike prepared for her yesterday and reviewed it for the upcoming meeting. Even if these gentlemen came clean, she had no choice but to fire them. Stealing from her wouldn’t be tolerated, whether it was chump change or millions of dollars. Who knows, maybe this new gossip, once out today, would overshadow the gossip about her and Mike. She seriously doubted it, but anything was possible. Jana walked to the bathroom to freshen up. One always wants to look her best when she has to fire someone. The day had started so well, and yet I know the next meeting and those that follow will be crap. Sometimes being boss sucks.

  Five

Jana entered the conference room, noting her staff were in their places. Long ago they’d learned the penalties of arriving late. They appeared to be in good humor, laughing and joking with each other, and discussing the past day’s social event. Mike was there as well, sitting at the end of the table concentrating on the files he had brought to the meeting.

Jana took immediate control of the room. “I know you’re wondering what this is all about, so I’ll get right down to business. I’ve been reviewing our operating costs this past quarter, the costs we, you and I, have the ability to influence and control. I’ve concluded there are things we can do, both corporately and individually, to drive down these costs. I’ve identified five areas I want to concentrate on but I’ve decided we will address them one at a time over the next several months. Today, I want to concentrate on our travel expense accounts.” She paused for a moment, and noted Daryl and Mark, her two senior managers, were looking at each other. Before she could continue Cheryl asked a question.

Cheryl furrowed her eyebrows and looked at Jana. “Are you going to take away our travel expense accounts?” Grumbling started like a virus around the table.

“No, I do, however, want each of you to take a more active role in reviewing your staff’s expense records before they are submitted to accounting for payment. Let me give you an example.” The screen came to life with a slide showing a comparison of two claims. “These two examples as you can see are two travelers from separate divisions who went to the same destination. The hotel cost for these two travelers was $225 and $522 respectively. Quite a disparity, don’t you think?” Jana noted that Daryl and Mark were looking at each other instead of the slide or her. “If the room for $225 meets our needs, then that’s the place we instruct our staff to stay. I intend to set a standard entitlement, and set dollar limitations of what we will reimburse in the future. If someone chooses to stay somewhere else, at a different hotel, they will get only what we authorize and the remaining costs will come out of their pockets. Do any of you see this as a problem?”

Daryl took a deep breath, rising in his seat as if literally inflating his importance. “I don’t have a problem. I went last month and the room I stayed in cost me $225 a night. It was nice, and there was a restaurant in the hotel which hosted a continental breakfast which was included in the room costs.” He smiled, lifted his eyes and looked at Mark, suggesting he speak as well.

Mark knew he’d claimed $522 for the same room and looked down at the folder in front of him ignoring Daryl.

Jana silently bit her tongue to keep from smiling. Asshole, you forgot the first rule of holes: when you find yourself in one, you STOP digging. Breakfast included in the room costs does not match the $17-$29 submission on your last expense record Daryl! “The folders in front of you are the expense costs for your divisions for the past six months. I want to begin working this effort immediately, so I’ll have Charlie set up individual meetings starting this morning. I want to know how you’ll implement this effort. My intent is to establish a standard cost process for given areas. We will do this by area, by city, and by country. Bottom line, the less we spend, the more we make. Are there any questions?”

“What if we don’t agree with this policy change?” Mark smirked and leaned forward challenging Jana’s authority.

She held back her need to go for the jugular on this asshole. “I guess there are options Mark. I don’t think I have to explain the obvious to anyone at this table.” Jana paused as she quickly established eye contact with everyone at the table. “I’m giving you each a chance to share in this decision process, but understand me completely; I’ve no problem making the changes I want to see happen here.”

Everyone looked around the room, but there were no comments. Jana was getting strange looks from Cheryl, but she would explain it all to her later. “Daryl, I’ll start with you, but let’s take ten. I’ll have Charlie buzz you when I’m ready. Thanks everyone.” Jana waited until everyone left the conference room, and then she turned to Charlie. “Set me up a meeting in ten minutes with Daryl. Right after he comes into my office I want you to call Mark and summon him. I want him to have to wait for me, understand? Once I’m done with those two I want to see Cheryl, but you can call her once I’ve finished with Mark.”

Charlie watched her leave the conference room. What’s going on? She’ll tell me when she’s ready, I’m sure. Back in his office he dialed Daryl on the intercom. “Jana wants to see you in ten minutes. Just have a seat in the waiting area outside her office. I have to run a quick errand, but I’ll be back in plenty of time to announce you. Okay?”

“Sure, she wants to see me in ten minutes and you’ll announce me. Got it. I’m assuming t
his is the follow-on to our meeting?” Daryl wiped the sweat from his brow.

“I can only assume it is since she didn’t say anything else.”

Daryl ran his hand through his tousled hair. “Okay, I’ll be there. Do you know what order she is taking us in?”

“Sure, she has asked to see you, Mark and then Cheryl. Looks like seniority order to me, why?”

He relaxed – I’ve got nothing to worry about. “Just curious, thanks.” Daryl hung up and buzzed Mark. “Can you step in here a minute? I want to see you before I go see Jana.”

Mark wasn’t sure what Daryl’s problem was, other than he was a wimp. He entered Daryl’s office, “What?”

“Do you think she knows about our inflated travel claims?” Daryl wiped the sweat from his brow once again.

“That’s not possible, no one knows but you and me. Get a grip!” What an asshole.

“Are you sure, I’m really worried. I’ve never done this before but you, you’ve been doing this for years according to the story you told me. I just know I made a terrible mistake.”

“Give me a break will you?” Mark paced the room, “Just stand tall and see what she wants. Like you said, I’ve been doing this now for about five years, even when Craig was here. No one’s ever caught me. Jana sure as hell doesn’t have a clue. She’s just a woman, and it amazes me she’s kept this company operational since Craig left. He was the brains of this outfit. There’s nothing that’s changed. I looked over the numbers Mike gave us today and they didn’t look out of whack to me. I don’t even think the accountants saw it. Do you know who she is seeing next?”

“Yea, I asked Charlie and he said it would be you and then Cheryl.”

“You mean teacher’s pet didn’t go first?”

“Cut it out, Mark, Jana isn’t like that. If anything she’s harder on Cheryl than she has ever been on us. Sorry I bothered you, I can handle this.” Daryl jerked his tie to loosen it up and ran his fingers through his hair. “I’m sorry I ever let you talk me into this.”
